Tasting Notes
잔을 가볍게 돌리면 따뜻한 호박빛이 잔벽에 풍성하게 묻어난다. 코를 가져가면 글렌모렌지 1988이 15년간 마데이라 캐스크에서 가꿔온 마른 살구, 꿀, 캐러멜 향이 먼저 올라온다. 한 모금을 머금으면 56.6도의 알코올이 곧장 입을 채우고 무화과, 구운 견과, 옅은 향신료가 따라온다. 디스틸러리 마데이라 매튜어드답게 와인 캐스크 마무리의 결이 입천장에 또렷이 깃들어 있다. 삼킨 뒤 살구와 꿀 잔향이 호흡 끝까지 이어진다.

starts on milk chocolate, milk chocolate, milk chocolate and… coffee, and develops more on rubbery/sulphury aromas. Strawberry jam and then something like corked wine (but it’s not exactly cork). Heavy notes of gunpowder as well. Not too much to my liking, but maybe water will help. With water: immense notes of nutmeg, parsley and green curry. Very unusual

how thick and heavy! Extremely concentrated, almost cloying… Quick, water. So, with water: it’s the tannins that shine through now, both from the wood and from the wine it seems. Better balanced, that is
