잔을 가까이 하면 1981년 빈티지 글렌모렌지 더 네이티브 로스셔 특유의 잘 익은 황도와 옅은 흰꽃의 향이 가장 먼저 명확하게 드러난다. 10년 숙성된 캐스크의 영향이 바닐라와 잘 익은 사과의 구조로 발전하며 60.8도의 캐스크 스트렝스가 단단하다. 팰럿은 보리 시리얼과 부드러운 꿀의 단맛이 입천장을 묵직하게 덮고 시트러스 산미가 정연하게 드러난다. 피니시는 길고 후반에 흰후추와 마른 우드가 또렷이 깃들어 있다.

huge, liqueury vanilla and caramelised oak, warm sawdust, maple syrup, nutmeg and cinnamon. Fully oak-driven at this point, it’s quite the opposite of the old 10. very rich, thick, gingery, with a lot of vanilla but also pleasant notes of lemon and green apples. Much less elephantine than I had feared but the oak is huge. More and more pepper. With water: it became some kind of ultra-sweet ginger liqueur. Very oily mouthfeel, you almost need a spoon to get it out of your glass. Marmalade and a lot of it
