잔을 가볍게 흔들면 버번과 올로로소 셰리를 결합한 글렌모란지 18년 아주마 마코토 에디션의 옅은 호박빛이 잔 안쪽을 미끄러진다. 잔을 코끝에 가져가면 잘 익은 자두와 옅은 가죽, 부드러운 바닐라의 향이 차례로 인사한다. 한 모금을 머금으면 43%의 도수가 입안에서 글렌모란지 특유의 우아한 과일과 옅은 셰리의 단맛, 약간의 견과로 풀려나간다. 삼킨 뒤에도 글렌모란지 18년의 단정한 잔향이 입천장에 길게 머문다.

quite strong Madeira, raisins, pink grapefruit. Rather nice at first nosing. Develops some funny notes of soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, apple juice. Quite enjoyable. Gets a little mat: chocolate, sawdust, cardboard…
restaurant Palate
starts on lots of caramel, sugar, sweet wine (young Banyuls). Gets quite toffeeish, burnt caramel, roasted beans. Medium long finish, with a pinch of salt on the tongue. Not bad at all, although I liked the sherry version better (much livelier). 79 points . Glenmorangie ‘Madeira Wood Finish’ (43%, OB, ‘stripe label’, circa 2004)
