하일랜드 애버딘셔 올드멜드럼 보리밭이 펼쳐진 풍토가 글렌 가리오크 1968 빈티지의 29년 숙성에 곡물의 결을 새겼다. 잔에는 짙은 호박빛이 잠겨 있고 노즈에는 호그스헤드가 풀어놓은 보리 단맛, 들꿀, 마른 오크의 향이 또렷이 깃든다. 입에 들어오면 56.3도의 알코올과 함께 흑설탕 토피, 시나몬, 마른 견과의 풍미가 두꺼운 질감으로 흐른다. 여운은 동부 하일랜드 특유의 단단한 보리로 길게 이어진다.
