잔을 코끝에 가져가면 글렌 기리 11년 애버딘 프로스펙트에서 날카로운 사과와 겨자, 해초의 향이 먼저 두드러진다. 향을 들이켜면 그을음과 축축한 종이 냄새가 더해지며 피노 셰리의 짭조름한 인상이 또렷하게 비친다. 46도의 술을 한 모금 머금으면 바닷물과 레몬, 풋사과와 쌉쌀한 오렌지가 입안을 채우며 짠맛이 점점 강해진다. 삼킨 뒤에는 바닷물과 레몬즙을 섞은 듯한 짭짤한 끝맛이 길게 따라온다.
