애버딘셔 올드멜드럼의 너른 보리밭과 짠 해풍이 글렌 게리오크 8년의 풍미를 단단히 짠다. 2007년 디스틸러리 보틀링은 옅은 황금빛이 잔에 머문다. 향은 마른 보리, 사과 잼, 가벼운 피트 연기, 흙내음이 또렷이 드러난다. 43도 알코올은 부드럽게 흐르며 꿀, 백후추, 보리 사탕을 풀어낸다. 여운은 옅은 흙 피트와 마른 잔디가 길게 따라간다.

can you smoke vegetables? This really is like a big mash up of scorched bonfire earth, distant peat embers, the gloopiest, most syrupy of old school, herbal cough medicines and parsnips roasted in honey. Really another world entirely. There’s also plasters, ointments, old herbal liqueurs, muddy sheep wool and a wee gallon of camphor. extremely fat, syrupy and herbal. Sooty, muddy peat, black olives mashed in their own pickling juices, herbal toothpaste, mysterious old ointments, tractor engine grease and various medical embrocations. Wild, bonkers and, quite frankly, brilliant!
