잔을 몇 차례 흔들고 코를 대면 오크에서 온 캐러웨이와 생강 같은 향신료가 먼저 두드러지고 탈리스커에서 기대할 법한 피트 연기와 바다 내음은 오히려 옅게 물러나 있다. 한 모금 머금으면 46도의 부드러운 질감 위로 쿠민과 생강, 오크 스파이스가 매콤하게 번지며 스피릿보다 나무의 개성이 앞선다. 1989년 증류한 이 아일랜드 몰트를 삼키면 오크의 매콤함이 다소 길게 이어지며 탈리스커의 강한 얼굴보다 온화한 결을 남긴다.
