잔을 천천히 흔들면 버번 캐스크에서 20년을 보낸 맑은 황금빛이 잔 벽을 따라 미끄러진다. 코끝에 가져가면 캠벨타운 특유의 옅은 소금기와 바닐라, 마른 과일향이 어우러져 올라온다. 한 모금을 머금으면 50도의 단단한 질감 위로 보리 단맛과 가벼운 그을음이 번진다. 삼킨 뒤에는 스프링뱅크 특유의 기름지고 짭조름한 여운이 또렷이 남아 길게 이어진다.

brilliant, strong, full of beeswax and pollen, and very waxy. Typical 1960s Springbank, minus the sherry. It’s almost brutal, I have to say. Now, what or who was Dell Fines? With water: careful with water, it tends to become too dry, and even more herbal. Grass juice
