잔을 가까이 하면 1979년 빈티지 탈리스커 40년산의 정제된 후추, 짭조름한 미네랄, 마른 시트러스 향이 명확하게 드러난다. 호그스헤드에서 40년 숙성된 시간이 스카이 섬의 야성을 우아한 캐릭터로 발전시켰다. 팰럿은 43.3도의 단정한 도수가 토피, 헤이즐넛, 정향의 구조감을 풀어내며 균형이 단단하다. 캐스크 오브 디스팅션답게 단일 캐스크의 직설적 큐레이션이 또렷이 드러난다. 피니시는 길게 발전하며 짭조름한 미네랄과 묵은 오크의 쌉쌀함이 깊게 머문다.

air Nose
hard to say. Perhaps overripe mangos crushed with a piece of limestone or something like that, then filtered using an old brass sieve, then blended with menthol cigarette juice and old engine oil? Add a drop of ink and a drop of graphite oil, perhaps, as well as a spoonful of seawater. Crushed lovage leaves? Brilliant ;-)
restaurant Palate
totally exceptional, starting as brutal as a 100proof whisky, greatly bitter and peppery – this is well Talisker – and getting saltier and saltier, while it’s more dried fruits that are playing second fiddles this time. Mentholy raisins? The power and the depth are insane considering the moderate strength
timer Finish
extremely long, peppery and ‘tropical’, with mangos and passion fruits cooked with gravy. And seawater. Very salty and smoky aftertaste
