Tasting Notes
호박빛이 잔에 진하게 고여 있다. 프레시 셰리에서 17년을 보낸 이 듀티 페이드 샘플은 옛 셰리 보틀링 특유의 옅은 유황 기운을 품고 있어 자메이카 럼을 떠올리게 한다. 물을 몇 방울 더하면 송로버섯과 양배추 수프의 인상이 밀고 올라온다. 54.1도의 입안은 거칠 만큼 야생적이어서 퀴닌과 진저 토닉, 블랙 올리브와 앤초비의 짠맛이 뒤엉킨다. 여운은 타르와 태운 캐러멜의 쌉쌀함을 남긴다.

it does smell like an old sherried OB from that era, with that slightly sulphury edge that characterised quite a few of those bottlings, bringing us almost into Jamaican rum territory, though without the aromatic depth. But as we all know, just a few drops of water can turn things around entirely, so let’s do that... With water: truffle and cabbage soup push their way through, such a classic combo in these official sherried Springbanks from these vintages
