맑은 금빛이 잔 속에서 가볍게 일렁이는 밀턴더프 1999이다. 코를 가까이 하면 놀랍도록 또렷한 바나나 향이 먼저 터지고, 그 뒤로 가벼운 카리브 럼 같은 달큰함이 따라온다. 46도의 한 모금은 크림 같은 질감으로 흐르며 콘플레이크와 메이플 시럽, 바닐라의 부드러운 단맛을 드러낸다. 8년의 젊은 스페이사이드 몰트답게 산뜻하고 경쾌하며, 여운은 바나나와 옅은 멘톨의 결로 가볍게 잦아든다.

forget about those bananas, this is a creamy, well-rounded, fruity and vanilla-ed malt, with cornflakes, maple syrup, and yeah, pancakes. I’ve heard this is what they’re pouring for breakfast over there in Drumnadrochit, when Nessie’s not watching
