노즈에서는 SMWS 123.12 글렌고인 2001의 리필 버번 호그스헤드 12년 숙성답게 신선한 바닐라와 잘 익은 노란 사과 향이 가장 먼저 두드러진다. 57.6도 카스크 스트렝스가 향신료 풀을 명확하게 끌어낸다. 팰럿은 카라멜과 미세한 시트러스, 가벼운 우디 향신료가 균형을 이루고 두꺼운 질감으로 입을 덮는다. 피니시는 옅은 오크와 마른 풀 잔향이 길게 이어진다. SMWS 보틀링답게 하이랜드 글렌고인의 구조감이 단단하다.

ah, nice attack, although quite oaky and sugarish, but some sour notes develop after thirty seconds. Stale wine, cider, apple juice. Gets a little bitter… Medium finish on stale beer. Well, I recall having had some much better 17 yo Glengoyne. Certainly just a batch that’s below the par, or is it me? 78 points . (PS: it may well have been me, as almost all my fellow Malt Maniacs rated this Glengoyne much higher) Glengoyne 12 yo Cask Strength (57.2%, OB, 2004) A new bottling I already had on… Islay
