Tasting Notes
잔을 코끝으로 가져가면 잿내와 풍선껌 냄새가 나란히 올라오고 그 사이로 풀과 감귤이 스친다. 기침 시럽 같은 약 기운이 옅게 겹치며 연기는 중간 정도로 유지된다. 46도를 한 모금 머금으면 감초 뿌리와 태운 허브, 진저 에일 같은 쌉쌀한 매움이 퍼져 진을 떠올리게 한다. 열한 해만 보낸 젊은 술이지만 피트가 어린 티를 덮어주고, 삼킨 뒤에는 키니네 같은 쓴맛이 중간 길이로 남는다.

it’s amazing how peaty whiskies are quicker to smell ‘mature’, the peat’s big aromas masking any faint ‘flaws’ that are obviously there in such young malts. So, this is pretty nice, ashy, quite bubblegummy (of course), grassy and slightly citrusy. Whiffs of cough syrup. Medium smokiness
restaurant Palate
once again and for the same reasons, this works better than the unpeated version, even if there’s something slightly strange (something like burnt herbs – oregano?). Liquorice wood, bitter herbs (Jägermeister), ginger tonic, even gin… That’s it, this is rather good gin!
timer Finish
medium long, with added notes of cinchona
