Tasting Notes
하이랜드와 로랜드 경계에 걸친 글렌고인은 이탄을 전혀 쓰지 않고 느리게 증류하는 곳으로 알려져 있다. 15년 저먼 오크 피니시는 독일산 오크에서 마무리해 48도로 병입한 보틀링이다. 잔에서는 갓 구운 빵과 허니콤, 설탕에 절인 과일 껍질과 건포도 향이 신선하게 오른다. 입안에서는 시럽처럼 달콤한 질감에 풋고추의 알싸함과 무화과, 사과 파이가 겹쳐 흐른다. 여운은 후추와 계피, 생강으로 알싸하게 길게 이어진다.

feels rather fresh and youthful at first - in a good way though. Lots of freshly baked bread, fruit scone mix, honeycomb, candied fruit peel, sultanas. There’s also a sense of acidity and sharpness - not unlike a carbolic washback tang in your nostrils
restaurant Palate
immediately very sweet and impressively syrupy. Some prickly green pepper, more candied peel and scattered sultanas and raisins. Fig rolls, apple pie and custard, a few dried herbs and some caraway. Rather punchy and with a fair bit of crunchy maltiness providing backbone
timer Finish
good length, peppery, getting quite spicy with notes of cinnamon and ginger. Also some hints of fresh oak
