금빛이 잔 안에서 담담하게 흔들린다. 셰리 캐스크에서 나온 이 1993년 보틀링은 마늘과 진한 육수를 떠올리게 하는 이례적인 향으로 문을 연다. 물을 더하면 송로버섯과 대파, 성냥의 유황이 조심스럽게 드러나며 스프링뱅크다운 기이한 매력을 보여 준다. 54.9도의 입안은 송로버섯과 다크 초콜릿, 검은 후추가 겹치며 극도로 건조하게 뻗는다. 여운은 제법 길고 채소의 쌉쌀한 기운이 끝까지 또렷이 깃들어 있다.

lovely cask, rather deviant, but then, Springbank loves to deviate. Here, it’s all about truffle, dark chocolate, and metal polish, then leeks and black pepper.
