Tasting Notes
1965년 빈티지에 46도로 병입된 이 보틀링은 노즈부터 의외로 거칠고 금욕적이다. 갓 벤 풀과 오트밀 죽, 바닐라가 명확하게 드러나고 물을 더하면 복합성이 늘기보다 둥글어지는 쪽으로 발전한다. 팰럿도 같은 성격으로 큼직한 풀 내음 위에 설탕에 절인 과일과 제법 뚜렷한 오크가 겹쳐져 접근성이 높은 편은 아니다. 오래된 빈티지가 늘 부드러움을 뜻하지는 않음을 보여준다. 피니시는 길고 과실 위주이며 어린 인상이 남는다.

austere, raw, grassy, not far from the 12yo by JMcA, only more vanilled and a little more polished. Porridge. With water: it doesn’t develop as much as the youngsters, getting only easier and more rounded. Vanilla, hints of wet paper, grass
restaurant Palate
exactly the same happens on the palate, a huge, raw whisky with a big grassiness and notes of candied fruits plus quite some oak. Not easy. With water: this is better and we’re now extremely close to the 12yo by JMcA. Frankly, it’s exactly as if 29-12=17 more years of maturing didn’t change anything to this Pittyvaich. Probably a multiple refill cask
