Tasting Notes
반세기를 넘긴 1965년 빈티지가 잔 속에 깊은 적갈색으로 가라앉아 있다. 캠벨타운의 스프링뱅크가 셰리 캐스크에서 29년을 보낸 만큼, 잔을 기울이면 말린 자두와 흑설탕의 향이 묵직하게 피어오르고 옅은 가죽내가 뒤를 받친다. 한 모금은 건포도와 다크초콜릿의 단맛으로 입천장을 천천히 덮으며, 캠벨타운 특유의 짭짤한 기름기가 단맛을 단단히 붙든다. 46도 위로 여운은 오크의 떫은 향신료를 길게 남기며 잦아든다.

austere, raw, grassy, not far from the 12yo by JMcA, only more vanilled and a little more polished. Porridge. With water: it doesn’t develop as much as the youngsters, getting only easier and more rounded. Vanilla, hints of wet paper, grass
restaurant Palate
exactly the same happens on the palate, a huge, raw whisky with a big grassiness and notes of candied fruits plus quite some oak. Not easy. With water: this is better and we’re now extremely close to the 12yo by JMcA. Frankly, it’s exactly as if 29-12=17 more years of maturing didn’t change anything to this Pittyvaich. Probably a multiple refill cask
