바다에 둘러싸인 캠벨타운 반도의 짭짤한 공기와 항구의 습기가 글렌 스코시아 특유의 해안 캐릭터를 새긴다. 아메리칸 오크 배럴에서 15년을 보낸 이 위스키는 금빛을 띠며 버터스카치와 팬케이크, 바닐라와 바다 물보라의 향이 어우러져 올라온다. 46도의 입안은 요오드와 붕대를 떠올리게 하는 약재 뉘앙스와 옥수수 시럽의 단맛, 부드러운 향신료가 또렷이 흐른다. 여운은 시큼한 톱밥과 소금기, 흙내음이 길게 남아 바다를 마주한 캠벨타운다운 개성을 전한다.

we often quote liquorice allsorts, but this time it is a whole warehouse full of those that we're finding in our wee glass, then the expected porridge (Glen Scotia has sometimes been extremely porridgey, this one's gentler), pancakes, silverware, butterscotch, metal polish, sea spray, beach pebbles, then a classic vanilla and baked apples combo…

there's this very peculiar medicinal side, iodine, bandages, then pancakes and rum sauce, corn syrup, some gentle, slightly mustardy spices, a little fudge… It really is different malt whisky, perhaps one to have in the open
