Tasting Notes
잔을 가볍게 흔들고 코를 대면 그을음과 부싯돌이 셰리의 단맛보다 먼저 나온다. 뒤이어 고무와 커피 원두, 코코아 가루가 차례로 올라오고 등잔 기름 같은 냄새가 바닥에 깔린다. 한 모금을 머금으면 예상보다 훨씬 마르고 쌉쌀해서 가죽과 석회, 진한 감초의 쓴맛이 혀를 팽팽하게 당긴다. 삼킨 뒤에도 달콤함은 거의 돌아오지 않고 낙엽과 코코아만 남는다. 셰리 통을 거쳤음에도 증류액이 주도권을 놓지 않는 스프링뱅크다운 15년이다.
