금빛 술을 흔들고 코를 가져가면 부싯돌과 그을음, 달군 브레이크 패드 같은 냄새가 곧장 다가온다. 계속 맡으면 고무와 호두 껍질 물, 코코아와 커피 원두, 등잔 기름이 순서대로 열린다. 한 모금을 머금으면 가죽과 석회암, 아스피린의 쓴맛이 혀를 마르게 조이고 초록빛 차와 나프타 같은 냄새가 뒤를 따른다. 삼킨 뒤에도 단맛은 좀처럼 나서지 않고 코코아와 낙엽, 가죽만 남아 1995년 병입 그린 시슬의 꼿꼿한 성격을 드러낸다.
