잔을 가볍게 흔들면 1965 빈티지 오큰토션 특유의 옅은 황금빛이 잔 안에서 길게 흐른다. 코끝에 가져가면 트리플 디스틸레이션 로우랜드 특유의 가벼운 풀잎 위로 호그스헤드의 바닐라와 잘 익은 배가 또렷이 깃들어 있다. 한 모금을 머금으면 49.2도의 부드러운 알코올이 입천장을 가볍게 덮고 흰 꽃과 시트러스가 풀린다. 삼킬 때 옅은 오크와 마른 허브가 따라온다.
