Tasting Notes
로우랜드 아켄토션이 1957년에 채워 둔 올로로소 셰리 벗이 50년의 시간을 견디고 세컨드 에디션 보틀링으로 자리한다. 진한 마호가니빛이 잔에 깊이 잠긴다. 향에서는 잘 졸인 건자두와 짙은 가죽, 오래된 가구의 결이 차례로 일어선다. 잔에 머문 술이 호흡할수록 그 위로 옅은 시가와 마른 무화과의 결이 더해진다. 46.8도의 도수는 입안에서 셰리의 진한 단맛과 다크 초콜릿, 마른 무화과를 펼쳐내고 시간이 지나며 졸인 자두의 결이 또렷해진다. 마지막까지 차분히 머무는 여운 속에는 50년 동안 응축된 트리플 디스틸의 깊이가 잔향에 새겨진다.

the oak’s a little loud, with this feeling of entering a cabinetmaker’s workshop. Some pencil shavings, sawdust, tobacco, then rather lemon curd, which is nicer. Not totally IKEA-y, phew
restaurant Palate
it’s good, nicely lemony at first, zesty, creamy, vanilla-ed… But sadly, the oaks tend to take over, which generates this feeling of sucking your pencil. Goes way too far for me
timer Finish
medium, rather all on wood shavings and cinnamon. Not quite enough citrus to fight back, but the aftertaste is unexpectedly nicer, fruitier, and cleaner
