Tasting Notes
낡은 금빛이 잔 안에서 조용히 흔들린다. 코에는 바다에 가까운 짠 내와 젖은 자갈, 오래된 구두약의 냄새가 겹쳐 다섯 해짜리 위스키라고 보기 어려운 밀도를 만든다. 43도의 술은 글리세린처럼 매끈하게 혀를 감싸다가 라임 껍질과 그을음, 금속을 닦은 듯한 쓴맛으로 방향을 튼다. 퓨어 몰트라는 이름 그대로 옛 스프링뱅크의 성격이 남았고 여운은 기름지고 짜다.

Superbly fresh and coastal with an almost glycerol, syrupy quality. It screams pure ‘old Springbank’ with all these wee notes of ink, pebbles, many shades of fruit, a background wisp of peat smoke and soft herbal and resinous tones. I’d say that this goes to show that great distillate doesn’t need great age, however, this being Springbank, they may have made up the numbers with some 30 year old... Anyway, continues to flex with these notes of shoe polish, mineral oil, precious waxes and hints of beach sand and medical tinctures

good length and getting increasingly waxy, sooty, oily and coastal with a kind of flinty mineral side
