Flavor Profile
Tasting Notes
5년이라는 숫자에 비해 노즈의 밀도가 상당하다. 잉크와 자갈, 글리세린 같은 시럽 질감이 앞서고 해안의 신선한 공기와 옅은 이탄이 뒤를 받친다. 왁스와 광물유, 약재 팅크의 인상이 계속 이어진다. 43도의 팰럿은 구두약과 노란 샤르트뢰즈를 연상시키는 허브의 쓴맛으로 출발해 라임 껍질과 금속성 광택, 그을음으로 발전한다. 피니시는 좋은 길이로 왁시하고 기름지며 부싯돌 같은 미네랄이 또렷이 남는다.

air Nose
Superbly fresh and coastal with an almost glycerol, syrupy quality. It screams pure ‘old Springbank’ with all these wee notes of ink, pebbles, many shades of fruit, a background wisp of peat smoke and soft herbal and resinous tones. I’d say that this goes to show that great distillate doesn’t need great age, however, this being Springbank, they may have made up the numbers with some 30 year old... Anyway, continues to flex with these notes of shoe polish, mineral oil, precious waxes and hints of beach sand and medical tinctures

good length and getting increasingly waxy, sooty, oily and coastal with a kind of flinty mineral side
