Tasting Notes
밝은 금빛이 잔 안에서 강렬하게 빛난다. 아일라의 전설 포트 엘렌이 1980년 증류돼 15년을 지나 카데나헤드가 62.8도로 담은 귀한 원액이다. 코에는 레몬과 모터 오일, 훈제 치즈와 새 고무 같은 강렬한 향이 폭발하듯 밀려온다. 물을 더하면 옅은 와인 식초와 자욱한 연기가 드러난다. 입에서는 레몬과 굴, 해초와 요오드, 감초가 압도적인 힘으로 입안을 채운다. 사라진 증류소다운 순수하고 거대한 피트가 또렷하게 드러난다. 여운은 짭조름한 연기와 훈제 생선의 결이 끝없이 이어진다.

kah-baaam! Massive yet ultra-fresh, not far from the 1977, only even punchier. It’s probably great but the important word is probably, no chances are to be taken with our noses. Careful! With water: there’s a little wine vinegar, plenty of motor oil, lemon, some kind of smoked cheese or maybe even gym socks, new tyres and a new box of rubber bands. Highly unlikely and even perverse but absolutely spectacular. Oh, and fumes as well

absolutely immense, this baby hits you between your eyes like Muhammad Ali on steroids. Oh forget. Stunningly massive and powerful, one of the most powerful whiskies I’ve ever tried. While I’m still alive, let’s try it with water: a bed of lemon, oysters, seaweed, iodine and liquorice. One of the purest PEs you could find. Well, try to find one! ;-)
