Tasting Notes
잔을 흔들면 옅은 호박빛이 유리를 따라 매끄럽게 감돈다. 코끝에 가져가면 흙내음과 호두, 오래된 책과 가구 광택제, 마른 마데이라와 파이프 담배가 은은한 곰팡내처럼 겹쳐 올라온다. 한 모금 머금으면 57.3도의 힘이 혀를 감싸며 정향과 계피, 건포도와 설탕에 절인 오렌지, 감초가 크리스마스 케이크처럼 번진다. 삼킨 뒤에는 거친 생초콜릿과 향신료 밴 호두 케이크가 애버라워 13년답게 오래 남는다.

it’s a rather earthy one, ridden with old and fresh walnuts, crushed mustard seeds, old books, old furniture polish, then bone-dry Madeira and pipe tobacco. It’s almost musty, in a good way. With water: very oloroso-y, and rather more on moss, fern, mushrooms, tobacco, more walnuts…

rich and spicy. This is almost Christstollen! A lot of cloves, cinnamon, caraway, raisins, candied orange zests, liquorice and tobacco. Some cardamom too. With water: sweeter, rounder, more orange-y, so easier, but the spices are still there. Oranges and cloves, a classic duo
