노즈에서는 애벌라워다운 잘 익은 사과와 보리 단내가 가장 먼저 두드러지고 옅은 꿀과 오크가 뒤따라 발전한다. 5년이라는 짧은 숙성의 팰럿은 맥아의 단맛과 시트러스, 가벼운 향신료가 산뜻하게 드러나며 단정한 구조감을 보인다. 40도의 도수는 자극 없이 균형이 단단하고 스페이사이드 특유의 맑고 가벼운 질감을 받쳐 준다. 피니시는 옅은 오크와 보리, 꿀로 깔끔하게 이어지며, 1970년대에 병입된 애벌라워 글렌리벳이 지닌 소박하고 정갈한 옛 스타일이 분명하게 남는다.

sultanas and golden syrup on the one hand, mashy cooked grains on the other. A yin and yang kind of nose so far. You can also add some malt syrup, slightly sweetened breakfast cereals and sweetish old style beers and ales. Not bad. but not stellar by any measure

hmm, a tiny soap note threatens things from the off. But there's some sweet biscuits, some ales, breads and still these cooked and mashy cereal notes. Not great if I'm being honest
