Tasting Notes
벤린스 산자락 스페이사이드의 아벨라워가 아메리칸 화이트 오크로 담아낸 10년이다. 2012년 원액을 40도로 병입했으며 잔에는 밝은 볏짚빛이 어린다. 첫 향은 곡물의 소박함 위로 유칼립투스와 프로폴리스, 마른 건초 같은 허브가 개성적으로 피어오른다. 입에서는 차게 식힌 차와 옅은 감미, 용담 뿌리의 쌉쌀함이 좁지만 또렷한 인상을 그린다. 여타 몰트와 다른 약초 같은 결이 뚜렷하며, 여운은 마른 오크와 허브의 쌉쌀함이 담백하게 남는다.

a little weak and grainy at the start, with lots of notes if new tyre and rubber. Heavy notes of sulphur, stale beer, rotten kiwi. Not too enjoyable, I’m afraid. Sort of medicinal. Really, really special, but not tired, that is
restaurant Palate
very strange! Aromatically narrow, yet very punchy. Notes of cold tea, aspartame, eucalyptus. Lots of propolis, hay, tar, gentian roots… Very special indeed, unlike any other malt. Not utterly enjoyable but interesting… 82 points . Aberlour 10 yo (40%, OB, white label, late 80’s)
