Tasting Notes
잔을 흔들어 향을 깨우면 아메리칸 화이트 오크에서 온 바닐라와 옅은 곡물의 향이 먼저 조용히 올라온다. 코를 가까이 가져가면 잘 익은 사과와 마른 허브, 은은한 오크의 결이 겹친다. 잔을 다시 기울여 맡으면 옅은 시트러스와 흰 후추의 기운이 감돈다. 40도의 아벨라워를 한 모금 머금으면 가벼운 몰트의 단맛이 혀를 부드럽게 감싸고 나무의 향신료가 뒤따른다. 혀끝으로 천천히 굴리면 가벼운 곡물의 단맛이 서서히 번진다. 삼키면 10년 숙성이 남긴 산뜻한 오크와 곡물의 여운이 목 안쪽에서 담백하게 이어진다.

a little weak and grainy at the start, with lots of notes if new tyre and rubber. Heavy notes of sulphur, stale beer, rotten kiwi. Not too enjoyable, I’m afraid. Sort of medicinal. Really, really special, but not tired, that is
restaurant Palate
very strange! Aromatically narrow, yet very punchy. Notes of cold tea, aspartame, eucalyptus. Lots of propolis, hay, tar, gentian roots… Very special indeed, unlike any other malt. Not utterly enjoyable but interesting… 82 points . Aberlour 10 yo (40%, OB, white label, late 80’s)
