Tasting Notes
노즈에서는 셰리 캐스크 마무리가 더한 말린 건포도와 잘 익은 자두, 아벨라워 특유의 토피 향이 먼저 두드러진다. 18년 숙성한 스페이사이드 몰트답게 셰리와 오크가 어우러진 부드러운 향이 노즈를 지배한다. 팰럿에서는 43도의 도수 위로 무화과와 다크 토피, 가벼운 향신료가 두꺼운 질감으로 흐른다. 피니시는 중간 길이로 셰리의 단맛과 마른 오크가 또렷하게 남는다. 아벨라워다운 부드러운 셰리 구조감이 단단하게 잡힌 몰트다.

air Nose
it’s different from the more recent version, rather less on fudge and toffee and a little more on motor oil and other mineral and phenolic elements. Maybe a tad more complex and ‘wide’ in style, a little less classic. It’s also rather grassier and the gap between both versions becomes wider with breathing. There’s probably less sherry in this one
restaurant Palate
it’s definitely more complex, with more oils, phenols, smoke, herbs, mint… A bigger body too
timer Finish
rather long, with some cough syrup, honey and black tea. Maple syrup and cinnamon in the aftertaste
