셰리 캐스크에서 18년을 보낸 시간이 이 애버라워를 예상보다 넓고 복합적인 방향으로 이끈다. 퍼지나 토피보다 모터 오일과 광물, 페놀 쪽으로 기운 향이 초록빛 풀 내음과 함께 서서히 벌어진다. 43도 아래로 기름기와 페놀, 옅은 훈연과 허브, 박하가 더 큰 몸집으로 흐른다. 이 위스키는 기침약과 꿀, 홍차의 단맛에 메이플과 계피가 얹힌 여운을 길게 남긴다.

air Nose
it’s different from the more recent version, rather less on fudge and toffee and a little more on motor oil and other mineral and phenolic elements. Maybe a tad more complex and ‘wide’ in style, a little less classic. It’s also rather grassier and the gap between both versions becomes wider with breathing. There’s probably less sherry in this one
restaurant Palate
it’s definitely more complex, with more oils, phenols, smoke, herbs, mint… A bigger body too
timer Finish
rather long, with some cough syrup, honey and black tea. Maple syrup and cinnamon in the aftertaste
