Tasting Notes

퍼스트필 올로로소 셰리 캐스크에서 13년을 보낸 흔적이 애버라워의 진한 단맛으로 곧장 드러난다. 증류소에서 손으로 채운 이 보틀링은 잔에서 건포도와 다크체리, 구운 견과 향이 진하게 올라온다. 58.1도의 높은 도수로 입안은 졸인 붉은 과일과 흑설탕, 가벼운 황 내음이 묵직하게 번진다. 첫 충전 셰리가 남긴 끈적한 단맛과 가죽, 초콜릿의 여운이 길게 이어지는 짙은 적갈색이다.

I’ve rarely found this much chocolate, mingling with this much marmalade! Also like this tarriness very much, as well as the bitter oranges that just abound in this combo. Oh and the almost heady peonies, and all the crushed raisins. There’s something akin to sulphur, but that’s not sulphur. Flints? With water: malt extract, just a little Marmite, and prunes covered with chocolate, as they make in Austria and elsewhere. One of my guilty pleasures…

restaurant Palate

creamy and rich, perhaps some kind of A’bunadh with a higher zestiness, full of figs, and really a lot of figs, then dates, black raisins, fudge, toffee, and coffee-schnapps. Forgot to mention chocolate, how could I? With water: perfect, creamy, orange-y, cake-y, chocolaty, full of marmalade, raisins, and prunes. Great work
