Tasting Notes
잔 안에 깃든 짙은 적갈색이 윤기 있게 빛난다. 애벌라워 13년 싱글 캐스크가 1차 충전 셰리 캐스크에서 58도의 캐스크 스트렝스로 빚어진 이 보틀은 셰리의 강렬한 영향을 그대로 담는다. 향은 건포도, 다크 초콜릿, 옅은 가죽, 마른 무화과로 펼쳐진다. 입안에서는 강한 알코올 위로 짙은 셰리 시럽과 호두, 시나몬, 가벼운 정향이 묵직하게 입을 채운다. 여운은 1차 충전 셰리의 농축된 단맛이 잔에 깊게 깃든다.

it’s a rather earthy one, ridden with old and fresh walnuts, crushed mustard seeds, old books, old furniture polish, then bone-dry Madeira and pipe tobacco. It’s almost musty, in a good way. With water: very oloroso-y, and rather more on moss, fern, mushrooms, tobacco, more walnuts…

rich and spicy. This is almost Christstollen! A lot of cloves, cinnamon, caraway, raisins, candied orange zests, liquorice and tobacco. Some cardamom too. With water: sweeter, rounder, more orange-y, so easier, but the spices are still there. Oranges and cloves, a classic duo
