퍼스트필 버번 캐스크에서 13년을 보낸 원액은 버번 우드의 단맛을 향과 입에 또렷이 새겼다. 코에는 바닐라와 잘 익은 사과, 꿀의 향이 달콤하게 번진다. 입에서는 토피와 시트러스, 보리 단맛 위로 오크 스파이스가 또렷하게 더해진다. 57.4도의 높은 도수가 강한 힘으로 밀고 든다. 옅은 황금빛 끝에 달큰한 오크 여운이 길게 남는다.

it’s a rather earthy one, ridden with old and fresh walnuts, crushed mustard seeds, old books, old furniture polish, then bone-dry Madeira and pipe tobacco. It’s almost musty, in a good way. With water: very oloroso-y, and rather more on moss, fern, mushrooms, tobacco, more walnuts…
