아메리칸 오크와 셰리 캐스크가 함께 익힌 14년이 애벌라워의 단정한 원액에 두 갈래의 단맛을 새겼다. 향은 몰트다운 곡물감에 사이다와 오렌지 케이크, 여러 종류의 자두와 옅은 꿀의 결이 어우러져 더없이 깔끔하다. 입에서는 40도의 낮은 도수가 다소 힘을 잃어 차와 껍질, 종이, 마른 잎의 가벼운 풍미로 흐른다. 셰리의 흔적이 남긴 황금빛 잔에서, 단정하지만 다소 건조하게 끊기는 짧은 여운이 마지막을 정직하게 보여준다.
