Tasting Notes
향의 첫 층은 석탄 연기와 잉크다. 그 아래에서 기름과 타르 바른 밧줄, 아티초크 같은 채소 향이 순서대로 드러나고 오래된 가죽 냄새가 배경을 채운다. 팰럿은 레몬처럼 날카로운 미네랄 피트로 열려 재가 겹겹이 쌓이고 굴과 바닷물의 짠맛이 뒤따른다. 47.5%라는 도수가 이 짠 기운을 흐리지 않고 전달한다. 피니시는 길게 이어지며 분필과 재, 레몬즙, 소금이 차례로 남는다. 2002년 원액 14년 숙성이 만들어낸 해안가 캐릭터가 선명하다.

it’s quite amazing how Springbank became quite Longrowy after the year 2000. Should we go talk to the gentleman that used to be responsible with cleaning the pipes? First a very lemony and mineral peat, then many many ashes, then oysters and citron liqueur. More and more seawater – may we talk to the gentleman that used to be responsible with cleaning the pipes once more? Bah, love this
