노즈의 중심축은 오래된 가죽과 검은 건과일이다. 뒤이어 계피와 마른 생강 같은 향신료가 명확하게 드러나며 이탄은 향의 바닥에 얇게 깔린다. 2001년 증류 원액이 퍼스트필 벗에서 17년을 보낸 결과로 색과 향 모두 짙은 편이다. 팰럿은 초반 건포도 단맛이 앞서지만 중반 이후 오크 타닌이 힘을 얻어 쌉쌀하게 방향을 튼다. 피니시는 길게 남으며 흑차와 그을음이 이어진다. 단맛과 쓴맛의 대비가 뚜렷한 구조다.
