Tasting Notes
잔을 코끝에 가져가면 광물과 담뱃잎, 커피 냄새가 먼저 올라오고 그 사이로 블랙커런트와 블랙베리 젤리 같은 향이 비집는다. 감초와 간장 같은 감칠맛까지 배어 나온다. 46.3도인데도 한 모금 머금으면 맛이 지나치게 진하고 두꺼워 혀를 눌러 온다. 졸인 와인과 잼, 오래 우린 홍차가 겹치고 물을 섞으면 녹차와 박하 같은 푸른 기운이 열린다. 삼킨 뒤에는 진한 차와 감초 나무의 맛이 길게 남아 짙은 호박빛의 이유를 설명한다.

same style as the Alchemist, maybe a notch more complex, more on mineral notes and more on tobacco and coffee. There’s also wonderful notes of blackcurrant and blackberry jellies and a little more liquorice, lovage, soy sauce... Brilliant nose!
restaurant Palate
extremely heavy, thick, concentrated, kind of acrid. Maximal extraction here, wondering whether there was any wood left after 16 years ;-). Anyway, very spectacular but probably not for everyone. Cooked wine, heavy jams, overinfused black tea… well, you get the drift. Let’s see what happens with water, I’m curious… With water: a greenness appearing, which was to be expected. Green tea, crème de menthe (do you know Get35?)
