리필 버번 호그스헤드가 남긴 흔적이 옅은 편이라 노즈에서 증류액의 성격이 앞선다. 젖은 밧줄과 해초, 마른 볏짚이 먼저 잡히고 레몬 껍질의 산미가 사이를 가른다. 52.8도의 팰럿은 기름지며 소금기와 흰 후추, 그을린 보리가 순서대로 나타난다. 피니시는 짭짤한 재로 이어지고 끝에 옅은 단맛이 남는다. 1998년 증류해 2014년에 병입한 14년 듀티 페이드 샘플로 골격이 곧다.
