a tad strange at first nosing, rather sooty and mineral ‘in the Springbank way’ but also very grassy and mashy, dry… Notes of sour porridge, asparagus, wet hay, sour cream, coal ashes and linseed oil, with just hints of struck matches. Wild carrots, lemon peel. Austere and not very sexy to say the least

restaurant Palate

sweeter and, in my view, more appealing than on the nose. Lemon, ginger tonic, vanilla, green apples, bitter oranges and just hints of salt and pepper. Faint waxiness

timer Finish

long, with more pepper and bitter oranges
